how to style thick wavy hair.

| mens hair styles | Thursday, 30 September 2010

Question by our readers

My hair is extremely thick, and also sort of wavy (not curly). When it gets 3-4 inches long it turns very mop-like, and whenever I apply any product like gel or putty it just flops down after like 30 minutes and appears more wavy, ugly and unkempt.I’ve tried straightening, doesnt really work very well since I cant get to the roots or section off my hair its so thick.are there any products/ways to get a cool style. n.b. mens hairstyle

Dressing Like A Girl For Halloween.

| hair cuts | Wednesday, 29 September 2010

Question by our readers

I am going to a costume party on Halloween. I’m an 18 year old guy. There is 1000 dollar first prize for the best costume. I really need the money, and it would actually be pretty cool to win. I know guys who dressed like girls have won it in the past. I was thinking to dress up like a girl so everyone thinks I’m really a girl wearing a costume. I want it to be so my friends there don’t even recognize me until I win it,lol. What are some ideas to dress up as like a girl my age would. and how far should I go to win this. Makeup. Shaving legs. Hair cut or styled. Any ideas will help. I’ve never done anything like this before. Kinda crazy. You can also contact me on messenger if you want.

How do i get over my fear of standing out and being different.

| hair cuts | Tuesday, 28 September 2010
Question by our readers

i always fear what people say and think so i guess that’s why i’m kinda shy. I always felt like i had to wear clothes that everyone was wearing etc because they it was so called “in style” and “wats up” but idk now i’m to the point where it’s like i’m self conscious and i just fear being different. like i just got a haircut because i had 2 to go to this school and further my education, but i didn’t want all my hair cut off because of a physical imperfection (so i think) i have because i was always teased about it growing up, so instead of cutting all of my hair off , i got a short taper afro, which i’m uncertain about rockin because I’m not sure if people still wear afro anymore well at least people in my age range (19). some people have called me Lame and/or retarded, which i don’t understand why because i guess i’m kind of intelligent, but maybe it’s because i’m quiet and don’t talk much or maybe because they see i’m letting what people think get to me. idk

Modeling advise/help.

| hair salons | Sunday, 26 September 2010
Question by our readers

Yesterday was our homecoming dance and i went to a salon/spa to get my hair/ makeup done. As they were doing my hair i overheard a mother and her daughter talking about me saying i was really pretty. made me feel really good. anyway then i went to get make up done. when she was finished, my stylist asked if i had ever considered modeling and handed me a brochure. She told me there is a cute and unique look about me even with no makeup on. This is the first time anyone has ever even talked to me about anything like this so i was shocked. i told her i had never thought about it and she told me to come back this march/april because the need some new models for their brochure. i am so excited about it. My question is what do i do from this point. should i consider modeling and if so, how do i start. I don’t know anything about it. Please help.

I am a female 15 year old Sophomore in highschool.

How can I remove blond hair dye from black clothing.

| hair salons | Saturday, 25 September 2010
Question by our readers

I had my hair dyed blond at a salon, and despite the fact that I was wearing a smock over my clothes, the dye that fell on the smock created a huge orange stain on my favorite black sweater (made of 78% nylon and 22% nylon). How can I remove this stain (without bleaching the whole sweater and dyeing it black again).

What product will best lighten my blonde hair.

| hair color | Friday, 24 September 2010
Question by our readers

I really am not into dying my hair because it is naturally a beautiful color. However, I frequently have used Sun-In (lemon version) to lighten it up. Does anyone know of a product, that is NOT dying it and similar to sun-in, that lightens hair very quickly and lightens it a huge amount.

henna hair dye compared to regular hair dye.

| hair color | Thursday, 23 September 2010
Question by our readers

I have Dark brown hair very thick and healthy. I’ve always wanted to dye it to find out what it would look like but I’m scared to cause it can damage my hair and I know that I won’t get my natural hair color or thickness back. So I heard that henna doesn’t damage your hair. But i wanted to know the facts about each one. will they both damage me hair. the comparisons.

Hair Color of Malibu Barbie.

| hair salons | Wednesday, 22 September 2010
Question by our readers

What are the shades of blonde in Malibu Barbie’s hair.
I’m really sorry that I don’t have a link, but you could google “Malibu Barbie” and look at the images
On an additional note, I don’t think I’m going to dye my hair myself but I’d like some extra description when I go to the hair salon
Thank you:)
